Deoxycholic Acid, Sodium Salt is an ionic detergent for the solubilization of membrane-bound proteins. Deoxycholic Acid, Sodium Salt is reported to induce tyrosine phosphorylation of b-catenin and its subsequent translocation to the nucleus, promoting activation of β-catenin signaling (effective concentration 5-50 μM).

GM-CSF is a growth factor for in vitro colony formations of various progenitors. Besides granulocyte-macrophage progenitors, GM-CSF is also a growth factor for erythroid, megakaryocyte and eosinophil progenitors. On mature hematopoietic cells, GM-CSF is a survival factor for and activates the effector functions of granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages and eosinophils. It can induce human endothelial cells to migrate and proliferate. Additionally, GM-CSF can also stimulate the proliferation of a number of tumor cell lines, including osteogenic sarcoma, carcinoma and adenocarchinoma cell lines.
