• ELISA Kits
• These easy to use and highly sensitive ELISA kits are for the measurement of Host Cell Proteins and bioprocess contaminants. The kits are complete with ready to use reagents necessary to perform the assays. These kits feature:
• 96 removable strip well microtiter plate format that allows you to use only as many wells as you need at any one time.
• Complete with all the necessary reagents, including calibrated standards, antibody coated microtiter plates, conjugate, substrate, and wash buffer.
• Excellent precision of <10% CV's ensure your results are consistent and dependable.
• Minimal sample matrix interferences from most bioprocess streams.
• DNA Detection
• As the Leader in Host Cell Protein Detection, we now offer reliable and easy to use Host Cell DNA Detection Kits:Our Kits Feature:
• ►High Throughput:  The 96 deep well format allows for fast processing without having to juggle individual tubes.
• ►Superior Co-precipitating Reagent:  Recovers DNA at <1pg/mL. The reagents used to precipitate DNA do not interfere in qPCR.
• ►Convenience:  The 96 deep well format allows the use of multi-channel pipettes to minimize mistakes and technician fatigue.
• ►Speed:  96 individual extractions can be performed in less than 90 minutes.
• ►Cell Line Specific Calibrators:  Offer improved accuracy and specificity.

• Western Blot Kits
• Western Blot kits are important analytical tools used for the detection and identification of HCPs from commonly used recombinant expression systems. The antibodies in our Western Blot kits are the same ones used in our corresponding ELISA kits.
• Western Blot assays are helpful in demonstrating that the antibodies react with the majority of HCPs present in a given cell line or purification process. Because of the limited sensitivity with Western Blot detection methods, they are usually only able to qualitatively detect HCPs from samples upstream in the purification process.
• For more sensitive and semi-quantitative detection of HCPs it is strongly recommended that the corresponding ELISA kit be employed. In general, ELISA kits have approximately 100 fold more sensitivity, and as such should be capable of detecting less than part per million total HCP levels in downstream and final product.
• Antibodies

Cygnus develops antibodies using proprietary methods for antigen preparation and immunization protocols to ensure high titer and specific antigenic response. We offer antibodies in various forms as neat serum, IgG fractions and affinity purified.

The suffix indicates the type of antibody:

-PA or -PG is an IgG fraction

-AF is affinity purified

-AF-AP is affinity purified:alkaline phosphatase labeled

-AF-B is affinity purified:biotinylated

-AF-HRP is affinity purified:HRP labeled

• Immunogenicity Analysis
• With its many years of experience in applying immunochemical analysis to clinical diagnostics and the research field, Cygnus has assembled a comprehensive menu of reagents and test kits designed to meet the challenges faced by biopharmaceutical companies in development of analytical methods to detect and fully characterize immune responses in patients.
• These robust and proven reagents have been developed to overcome many of the non-specific or false positive reactions that often confuse analysis of patient immune responses. Patient antibodies to the therapeutic drug can cause a variety of problems. When patient antibody binds to the drug it may be more rapidly cleared or even neutralized, as has been reported for proteins like insulin, interferon and others to treat hemophilia.
• Antigen Concentrates
• We provide antigen concentrates for most of our ELISA kits. These antigens are intended for use in making controls and performing Spike & Recovery experiments. Most of the HCP antigen concentrates come from crude sources such as lysate or culture media and may have been further processed or purified. Absolute quantitation of these very complex antigens mixtures is very difficult.
• Immunoassay Reagents
• Most of the general ELISA reagents used in our specific kits are available individually. These reagents such as antibodies, sample diluents, conjugate stabilizer/diluents, coating buffers, wash buffers and substrates are robust and stable reagents that can help to optimize your in-house immunoassays.
